Syracuse University, The Pike Company and the Minority Contractors' Association of Central New York are partnering to offer a free, six-week program offering specialized training for certified minority- and women-owned businesses.
The program, "Steps for Success," begins with an overview on Oct. 16 and runs through graduation on Dec. 4. Sessions will take place every Tuesday from 5:30-9 p.m. at SU's South Side Innovation Center, 2610 S. Salina St., Syracuse.
Topics to be covered include sales and marketing, financial management, risk management, scheduling, estimating & LEED, safety and partnership.
Graduates of the program will receive a certificate.
