Douglas Freeman was named director of purchasing at Syracuse University. Most recently, Freeman served as manager of student records in the Bursar's Office at the University.
Freeman, who has worked at SU for more than 20 years, held previous positions in the University's Purchasing Department as senior purchasing agent and as the school purchasing officer at OCM BOCES. Freeman holds Certified Purchasing Manager certification. He received a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York Empire State College and is currently a master's candidate in the Department of Public Administration at SU's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
