The works of three young artists from Brooklyn and Montreal -- expressing desire, fantasy, disappointment and pleasure -- comprise "Come On: Desire Under the Female Gaze," an exhibition currently on display at The Warehouse Gallery, 350 W. Fayette St.
The exhibition, part of the 2007 Syracuse Symposium, presented by Syracuse University's College of Arts and Sciences, features the work of artists Jo-Anne Balcaen, Juliet Jacobson and Rachel Rampleman, and is free and open to the public.
The exhibition will be on display in the gallery through Oct. 27. Rampleman will give an artist talk on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m. in the Warehouse Community Classroom. A gallery reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. that evening, with a guided tour at 6 p.m.
The exhibition includes a variety of media, including video, drawings, sculpture and text. The display includes work that is generally intended for mature audiences.
