(http://lifesciences.syr.edu/main.html) and
planned residence hall at 619 Comstock Ave.
(http://sunews.syr.edu/story_details.cfm?id=4152), Comstock Avenue will be closed between Euclid Avenue and University Place for a prolonged period and a portion of Comstock Avenue north of University Place will be limited to one-way traffic for about two weeks, beginning Monday, June 4. In addition, a portion of Waverly Avenue will be closed from mid-June to mid-July.
For a map of the closures and detours, visit the Office of Campus Planning, Design, and Construction
website (http://odc.syr.edu) and click on "Summer Road Closures."
From June 4-Aug. 11, all lanes of Comstock Avenue between Euclid Avenue and University Place will be closed.
From June 4-10, the southbound lane of Comstock Ave between Waverly Avenue and University Place will be closed. From June 11-17, the northbound lane of Comstock Avenue between University Place and Waverly Avenue will be closed.
From June 18-July 20, all lanes of Waverly Avenue between Comstock Avenue and Ostrom Avenue will be closed.
During these construction periods, College Place, which had previously been closed, will once again be open to bus traffic and busses that normally travel along University Place will not be affected by this detour.
City busses coming from downtown or operating to Nob Hill, Drumlins and Westcott Street will operate via their regular routes and will once again pick up and drop off at College Place.
City busses (including the Nob Hill, Drumlins and Westcott busses) that operate to downtown will use Ostrom Avenue instead of Comstock Avenue, operating from College Place to a left on Euclid Avenue, left on Ostrom Avenue and left on University Place, and will pick up as usual in front of Watson Hall, Bird Library and the Newhouse School.
Warehouse and Sadler/Brewster-Boland busses will operate via regular routing.
Manley and South Campus busses will operate to campus via Comstock Avenue to a right on Euclid Avenue, left on Ostrom Avenue, left on University Place and left on College Place. Manley and South Campus busses will use regular routing from College Place to South Campus.
Liverpool, Cicero-North Syracuse, Camillus and Central Square busses will leave from College Place as usual.
The Shaw parking lot will remain accessible via Comstock Avenue from the south (via the Euclid end of Comstock Avenue).
