Turner TV exec to lecture at Whitman April 20

The Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will host a lecture by David Levy '84, president of Turner Entertainment Ad Sales and Marketing, and president of Turner Sports, Friday, April 20, at 11 a.m. The lecture, titled "One TV World: The Evolution of Sports and TV," will take place in Room 402 of the Whitman School building.


In his dual role, Levy is responsible for all domestic sales and marketing for Turner Network Television (TNT), Turner Broadcasting System (TBS), the Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Turner South and Turner Sports, and all sports acquisitions, programming, production and ad sales for sports programming. Levy previously served as co-president of TBS International, and he was the first president of international advertising sales for TBS. He began his career in 1986 as an account executive for the TBS entertainment division. Levy graduated from the Whitman School in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in marketing.


His lecture is part of the Martin and Phyllis Berman Distinguished Lecture Series, which brings prominent business leaders to Whitman to share their expertise and perspectives with the University community and Central New York executives.
