Healthy cooking will take center stage on April 16 at Syracuse University during the Healthy Monday Cook-Off Competition, hosted by the College of Human Services and Health Profession's (HSHP) Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management and sponsored by Healthy Monday and ORANGE WRAP at Syracuse University.

The competition begins at 6 p.m. and will take place at the Lyman Hall kitchen on campus. The five teams will each be composed of three students who compete to make the healthiest, best-tasting dish. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team. Competing students may not be nutrition or hospitality majors.

Registration for the event is free and must be completed by April 9. Contact Amy Rood in the Nutrition Office at 443-4550 to register, or contact Kara Hudon at klhudon@syr.edu for more information.

ORANGE WRAP (Out Reach And Nutrition Group Education by Wellness Responsibility Advocating Peers) is made up of students within the Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management who seek to support a healthier campus community. With training and supervision from a registered dietitian, ORANGE WRAP provides individuals and groups with programs and services on healthy eating, weight management, body image acceptance and eating disorders prevention.
