General public tickets go on sale Friday for March 1 O.A.R. concert at Landmark Theatre

Tickets for the general public will be available beginning Friday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m. for the reggae-rock band O.A.R. (Of A Revolution) concert Thursday, March 1, at 8 p.m. at the Landmark Theatre in downtown Syracuse. The show is presented by University Union, the Office of Student Life and the Interfraternity Council at Syracuse University. Special guest opener will be New York City-based band Steel Train, blending indie rock, pop, bluegrass and country. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.


Tickets are $25 for the general public and are available for purchase in person at the Landmark Theatre Box Office, 362 S. Salina St. Tickets may also be purchased through Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster phone charge at (315) 472-0700 and online at
http://www.ticketmaster.com.


SU and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry students, faculty and staff tickets are still available for purchase. Tickets are $13 for students and $18 for faculty and staff, with valid SU or SUNY-ESF I.D. They can be purchased only through the Landmark Theatre Box Office.


Shuttle bus transportation will be provided for SU and SUNY-ESF students from the Hildegarde and J. Myer Schine Student Center to the Landmark Theatre starting at 6 p.m. on March 1, with continuous service until the start of the show. Shuttles will also be available after the performance to the Schine Student Center, with the last shuttle leaving the Landmark at about 11:30 p.m. For more information, visit http://www.universityunion.org.


O.A.R. has transformed from an Ohio State University band into a headlining national rock act. Its reggae- and rock-influenced music gained nationwide recognition through word-of-mouth success and daily hits on the group's website,
