SU's Office of Residence Life is seeking nominations for the 2007 Francis McMillan Parks Women of Influence Awards. The awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 21, at 5 p.m. in the Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center.
The Women of Influence Awards are presented to distinguished women who have demonstrated sincere efforts in advancing the issues of women and who have worked to enhance the quality of life and educational opportunities of Syracuse University students, faculty and staff.
This year, the Office of Residence Life will honor a minimum of five women. The award categories include one honoring a woman from the Syracuse community who has served as a role model and supporter to SU students, while working to address issues facing women in the greater community.
Information and nomination forms can be found on the Office of Residence Life
website (http://orl.syr.edu) beginning Feb. 9 and
are due by 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 1. A nomination letter should be submitted
electronically, along with the nomination form, to msinglet@syr.edu. For more
