The citywide art open Third Thursday (Th3) marks its 2007 debut on Thursday, Feb. 15. On the third Thursday of each month, 15 visual arts venues across the city of Syracuse, including those operated by Syracuse University, will be open from 5-8 p.m. to entice dedicated arts patrons and newcomers alike to explore the city's burgeoning arts landscape. Some venues will present special programming.

Th3 is a galvanizing force in supporting and recognizing local artistic achievement and the creation and display of the visual arts in Syracuse. Th3 visual arts venues include members of SU's Coalition of Museum and Art Centers (CMAC), among others.

Unique programming for the Th3 on Feb. 15 includes:

• Delavan Art Gallery: Artists in attendance from "The Human Condition."
  
• Eureka Crafts: Open Studio with artists Ron Kalinoski and Amy Patricia Komar. The pair are working collaboratively and individually under the name Stoneharp Studios to create drums, raku-fired ceramics and other items.
  
• Everson Museum of Art: Artists Open with singer/songwriter Ashley Cox and Ithaca-based sculptor Stiller Zusman. Event begins at 7 p.m.
  
• Light Work: Tours of the William Earle Williams exhibition "Unsung Heroes: African American Soldiers in the Civil War." Walking tours from Light Work to SU's Hildegarde and J. Myer Schine Student Center to view photography exhibitions: Coriana Close's "A Journey Towards Hope: Underground Railroad Sites in Oberlin, Ohio" and "Un/Common Threads: Selections from the Light Work Collection."
  
• Onondaga Community College: Arts Across Campus: "Cloth as a Metaphor" and "Scholastic Art" exhibitions. Light refreshments served.
  
• Spark Contemporary Art Space: Opening reception for "Matrilineage Art Show."
  
• Syracuse Technology Garden: "A Celebration of Student Art" exhibition.
  
• The Warehouse Gallery: Reception for "Embracing Winter," a group exhibition of knitted sculpture, psychedelic video, playful photography and crisp audio and book works by international artists Janet Morton, Takeshi Murata, Bruno Munari, Collin Olan, Lisa M. Robinson and Rudy Shepherd.
  

February's Th3 also marks the start of the Urban Video Project (UVP). UVP is a public arts initiative to bring art to the streets and buildings of Syracuse. Inspired by the Connective Corridor and Th3, the project is the brainchild of the 40 Below Public Arts Task Force and Christopher Gianunzio, Colin Todd and Blake Carrington, graduate students in SU's College of Visual and Performing Arts. UVP will produce a series of experimental outdoor video projections throughout the year. Beginning with this month's Th3, video projections will be featured at Spark Contemporary Art Space, The Warehouse Gallery and Delavan Art Gallery.

The Connective Corridor Shuttle Bus (Centro Route # 543) will run during and after Th3 from 5-11:40 p.m. Th3 attendees are encouraged to ride Centro's Connective Corridor shuttle to visit art venues between SU and Delavan Art Gallery. The shuttle bus will stop at all marked Centro bus stops along the Connective Corridor. The shuttle is free. For more information,
