Ron Witte, principal of WW architects and assistant professor of architecture in Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, will present "Supra-Latency" at 6:30 p.m. April 11 in the Sue Ann Genet Auditorium, Room 108 of Slocum Hall. The lecture is sponsored by Syracuse University's School of Architecture.
Witte co-founded WW with Sarah Whiting in 1992 in Cambridge, Mass. The company is currently working on an arts and athletic center for St. Francis High School in Louisville, Ky.; the IntraCenter in Lexington, Ky.; and an addition to the Headley Whitney Museum, also in Lexington. Witte's work has been exhibited at the Graham Foundation in Chicago; the International Center for Reflection on the Future in Arc-et-Senans, France; and the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. His work has been published in numerous journals and newspapers, including Assemblage, Dialogue, Architectural Design Profile, Polygraph, Scroope and Harvard Design Magazine.
A Harvard faculty member since 1998, Witte teaches a core studio sequence. His research focuses on new materials technologies. He has also taught at the University of Kentucky, the University of Florida and the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Witte earned a master's degree in architecture at Princeton University in 1989. He has also studied at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris and at Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Fontainebleau, France.
