The Syracuse University Student Association (SA) will hold its presidential and comptroller elections online at http://sa.syr.edu beginning at midnight Monday, Nov.13, and running through late Thursday evening, Nov. 16. The election ballot will also include any assembly representatives who are up for election in the student?s home school/college.
Candidates for SA president are Matthew Correia, a junior economics and philosophy major and current president of the Residence Hall Association, and Ryan Kelly, a junior advertising and marketing major. Kelly is currently the chief of staff of the 50th Student Association Session.
The sole candidate for comptroller is Michael Rizzolo, a sophomore finance and accounting major. He currently serves on SA's Finance Board.
This election is for undergraduate SU and SUNY-ESF students. All voting will be done at http://sa.syr.edu. Results will be announced Thursday evening or Friday morning.
SA is the voice of the students to the University and the community on issues such as safety, academic affairs, civic engagement and other issues pertinent to students. SA is also responsible for allocating the $1.7 million Student Activity Fee to student groups.
