Two long-time Washington, D.C., lobbyists will debate the results and significance of the 2006 election at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University on Thursday, Nov. 9. Michael Lewan ('74 M.P.A.), a principal at Brown Rudnick and former chief of staff for Sen. Joseph Lieberman, will give the Democratic Party's point of view. The Republican viewpoint will be provided by Mark Isakowitz, currently president of Fierce, Isakowitz & Blalock and formerly the National Federation of Independent Business' representative to the House Republican leadership. The event will be moderated by Robert McClure, Chapple Family Professor of Citizenship and Democracy at the Maxwell School.
The discussion, including a question and answer period, will be held in the Public Events Room, 220 Eggers Hall, from 12:30-2 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Irving Garage.
