The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra (SSO), a community partner with Syracuse University's Pulse, is offering specially priced tickets to the SU community for "Shakespeare at the Symphony," Friday, Nov. 3, and Saturday, Nov. 4, at 8 p.m. in the Mulroy Civic Center at Oncenter.
As an exclusive offer to the SU community, the SSO is offering tickets priced at $5 for students and $10 for faculty and staff. Availability is limited, so those interested should call soon. The SSO Customer Service Center can be reached at (315) 424-8200 or (800) 724-3810.
"Shakespeare at the Symphony" will include an array of selections inspired by the works of William Shakespeare, with narration by accomplished stage actor and SU Drama faculty member Malcolm Ingram. The concert includes Walton's overture for "Henry V;" Mendelssohn's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," including the ever-popular "Wedding March;" Sibelius' "The Tempest Overture;" and Strauss' dynamic "Macbeth."
