On Wednesday, Sept. 26, more than 150 employers--a record high number--will be gathered for the Career Services Network's annual Fall Career Fair from 1-6 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
The main sponsor for this year's fair is CHEP, with supporting sponsorship by PricewaterhouseCoopers, HH Brown, Deloitte and Macy's Inc.

The career fair provides Syracuse University students and alumni and the Syracuse community a chance to network, explore career options, and connect with a diverse group of employers for internship and full-time opportunities. This year's fair features many well known organizations that have a strong history of hiring SU students, including General Electric, JPMorgan Chase, Microsoft, GEICO, Lockheed Martin, Teach for America, CIGNA, Target, IBM and the Peace Corps. A wide range of other employers are either new or reconnecting with SU this year, including Accenture, Bearing Point, Canine Companions for Independence, dELiA's, Hillstone Restaurant Group, i-Deal, Marc Ecko Enterprises, the New York Civil Liberties Union and U.S. PIRG.

SU's Center for Career Services will host several events to help students prepare for the fair, including a "How to Succeed at Career Fair" workshop on Monday, Sept. 24, at 5.p.m. in Room 228B of the Hildegarde and J. Myer Schine Student Center. This workshop will be co-presented by Shannon Smedstad, college relations manager at GEICO, and Debi Walker, assistant director in the Center for Career Services. The center will also host "Resumes Gone Wild," an opportunity for students to have their resumes critiqued by recruiters from GEICO, CIGNA, Morgan Stanley, CHEP, Factset, the U.S. Marine Corps and

Macy's Inc. "Resumes Gone Wild" will take place on Friday, Sept. 21; Monday, Sept. 24; and Tuesday, Sept. 25; from noon-2:30 p.m. Students can drop by the Center for Career Services in Room 235 of the Schine Student Center during those days and times to have their resumes critiqued by a recruiter.
