One of the first tasks many students tackle after lugging their belongings into their residence hall rooms is to get their computers online so they can connect to their friends, both at SU and elsewhere, via instant messaging, e-mail and Face Book. With that thought in mind, Syracuse University's Information Technology and Services (ITS) will be stationing teams of tech-savvy staff in all North Campus residence halls and on South Campus from 1-6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, through Sunday, Aug. 27.

Students who need help getting online should look for ITS staff members wearing Otto-emblazoned black T-shirts (left). They will be looking for yellow ITS hang tags (right) on student doors--their signal that a student needs computing help. The hang tag is located in the ITS computing packet students will receive with their residence-hall, room key. The packet also contains important information about SU computing.
