Suspect sketch circulated to assist police investigation of Wednesday sexual assault in neighborhood east of campus

To assist the Syracuse Police Department in the apprehension of the suspect wanted in the sexual assault of a Syracuse University graduate student early Wednesday afternoon, SU's Department of Public Safety has posted on its website (http://publicsafety.syr.edu) a composite sketch of the suspect. In addition, the news alert that appears below was sent via e-mail just before 6 p.m. today to all SU students, faculty and staff.


This follows a Campus Safety Alert about the incident that was circulated Wednesday afternoon via e-mail and fliers.


SU NEWS ALERT: Sketch Released of Suspect in Wednesday Assault



The Syracuse Police Department Abused Persons Unit has prepared a

sketch of the suspect in Wednesday afternoon's sexual assault of a

female SU graduate student in a residential garage along the 300 block

of Stratford Street, described in a Campus Safety Alert issued

Wednesday.
