Drumlins Travel, an arm of Drumlins, is being sold to BTI-The Travel Consultants of 620 Erie Blvd., Syracuse. The transfer is effective today (July 26).

"We believe that this sale will allow our customers to continue receiving the tradition of courteous, efficient services to the community," says Leon Zurro, managing director of Drumlins. "At a time when technology in travel is changing faster than ever before, it has become clear to us that going with the local leader is of great value to our loyal customers."

Drumlins Travel staff members are joining BTI and will assist in making the transition easy for former Drumlins customers. BTI will contact current Drumlins Travel customers to offer its services.

"The acquisition of Drumlins Travel is a move we are very excited about," says Lou Lemo, president of BTI. "BTI/Drumlins Travel will be well positioned to offer all customers the continuing tradition and customer service of Drumlins Travel with the most advanced travel technology available, taking the 21st century travel experience to a whole new level."

Drumlins is a wholly owned subsidiary of Syracuse University. The University established Drumlins Travel in 1985. BTI was incorporated in 1988.
