Syracuse University Health Services' (SUHS) orangehealth-e online weekly newsletter is recipient of a bronze award in the Student Health, Wellness, Counseling and Related Programs category of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Excellence Awards competition.
During the academic year, orangehealth-e provides all full-time SU and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry students with a weekly dose of educational health tips and links to wellness opportunities at SU and in the greater Syracuse community.
A unit of the Division of Student Affairs, SUHS specializes in college health, serving the health-care needs of SU and SUNY ESF students. SUHS engages students in their individual health-care processes, offering office visits and inpatient services, pharmacy service, ambulance and medical transport, laboratory and x-ray service, allergy injections, nutritional counseling, health education and wellness promotion, and public health monitoring and oversight.
With more than 11,100 members at 1,400 campuses, and representing 29 countries, NASPA is the largest professional association for student affairs administrators, faculty and graduate students.
NASPA Excellence Awards recognize the contributions of members who are transforming higher education through outstanding programs, innovative services and effective administration.
