Today, June 28, the Department of Recreation Services at Syracuse University is hosting the 2006 New York State Workshop for the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA). The event takes place at the Schine Student Center from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with a keynote speech by Jeanne S. Steffes, SU associate vice president for student affairs and two-time president of the Association of College Personnel Administrators-College Student Educators International (ACPA).
Steffes' talk focuses on the publication "Learning Reconsidered 2," published this year by seven leading student affairs and related higher education professional associations as a blueprint for the college student experience. She will discuss the publication's meaning and applications within the field of collegiate recreation.
