Chemistry professor Karin Ruhlandt-Senge and several chemistry grad students set up a "crime scene" and taught participants to dust for fingerprints, isolate DNA, and analyze samples of hair, paper, handwriting and ink to solve the case.
Jr. Cafe Scientifique meets once a month to give middle and high school students an opportunity to learn about and discuss the latest news and developments in the sciences. The meetings are sponsored by the Technology Alliance of Central New York.
