Syracuse University College of Law will host a regional meeting of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) on the topic of student services with Tomas Gonzalez, director of student resources, serving as co-chair and host. The event takes place May 5 in the Heritage Lounge in E.I. White Hall and brings together student services professionals from other AALS schools in New York and Canada.

"This event promotes the exchange of ideas and discussion of issues in the area of student life," says Gonzalez. "We recognize the importance of balancing academic, professional and personal responsibilities and are committed to enhancing our students' experience and helping them excel."

Gonzalez joined the College of Law in January as director of student resources and works on projects to improve the overall quality of student life. Most recently, he served the University's Office of Residence Life as assistant director and chair of the department's Diversity Committee. He received a bachelor's degree in music education from Ithaca College, a master's degree in college student personnel administration/counseling from Buffalo State College and a juris doctor degree from SU.
