Chittaphong to speak at University as part of Asian Pacific American Month features

On Tuesday, April 11, scholar-activist and Syracuse University alumnus Amnat Chittaphong '00 will address the phenomena of hate crimes and hate speech committed against Asian Americans, from the 1997 Syracuse Denny's Restaurant incident to public mockeries and racial caricatures of Asians in popular media, as part of Asian Pacific American Month activities sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs, La L.U.C.H.A., and Kappa Phi Lambda.


Chittaphong's address will take place in Room 011 of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management building and will begin at 6 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public.
