Organist Dame Gillian Weir will perform during the next concert in the Esther Drake and John Vincent Malmgren Concert Series April 23 at Syracuse University's Hendricks Chapel.
The concert begins at 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the Irving Garage.
Weir will perform the music of J.S. Bach, Charles Ives, Louis Vierne, Marcel Dupre and Paul Hindemith, among others. She has been hailed by Classic CD magazine as one of the Top 100 Keyboard Players of the Century and is widely recognized as one of the world's foremost concert organists.

The Malmgren Concert Series at Hendricks Chapel was made possible by a generous gift to Hendricks Chapel from alumna Esther Malmgren '42 in 1991. The free Sunday afternoon concerts held throughout the year feature a wide variety of music.
Upcoming concerts in the 2006-07 series include organist Katharine Pardee (Sept. 17); the Baltimore Consort (Feb. 25, 2007) and Ethos percussion ensemble, accompanied by organist Christopher Marks (April 15, 2007).
