Syracuse University College of Law will host a regional meeting of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) March 10, bringing together student services professionals from AALS schools across New York and Canada for discussion on the topic of student services. Tomas Gonzalez, director of student resources for the college, is co-chair and host of the event, which will take place in Heritage Lounge, on the third floor of E.I. White Hall.
"This event promotes the exchange of ideas and discussion of issues in the area of student life," Gonzalez says. "We recognize the importance of balancing academic, professional and personal responsibilities, and are committed to enhancing our students' experience and helping them excel."
Gonzalez joined the College of Law in January as director of student resources and works on projects to improve the overall quality of student life. Most recently, he served with the University's Office of Residence Life as assistant director and chair of its diversity committee. He holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Ithaca College, a master's degree in college student personnel administration/counseling from Buffalo State College and a juris doctor degree from Syracuse University.
