Save the Children head to speak on globalization of NGOs

Charles MacCormack, president and CEO of Save the Children USA, will speak on "Critical Issues in the Globalization of NGOs" Monday, March 6, at 2 p.m. in Room 220 of Eggers Hall.


The event is sponsored by the Transnational NGO Initiative of the Maxwell School's Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs.


MacCormack was president of World Learning (previously known as The Experiment in International Living), in Brattleboro, Vt., from 1977 through 1992. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the executive committee of InterAction and the Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid. Prior to joining World Learning in 1977, MacCormack served for three years as vice president for programs at Save the Children Federation and for four years as the director of the master's degree program in international management at the School for International Training. Before that, he was a research fellow in foreign policy studies at The Brookings Institution.
