The Office of Residence Life invites all members of the University community to submit nominations for the 2006 Francis McMillan Parks Women of Influence Awards.
Award winners are selected through a nomination process that highlights distinguished women who have demonstrated sincere efforts in advancing the issues of women and who have worked to enhance the quality of life and educational opportunities of Syracuse University faculty, staff and students. At least five women will be honored this year, including one from the greater Syracuse community who has served as a role model for students and other members of the University community.
The awards provide an opportunity to recognize and applaud women who are helping to reshape SU and the community for the better. For some women, this may be the first time that their achievements have received public recognition.
Nomination forms are available at http://orl.syr.edu and are due no later than March 8 at noon. Forms and nomination letters should be submitted via e-mail to Kimberly Williams, residence director,
at knwillia@syr.edu. For more information, contact Williams at 443-3002, Jennifer Koslovsky at 443-4335 or Joshua Hatala at 443-3019.
The awards ceremony will be held March 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center.
