On Feb. 11, more than 50 Syracuse University students celebrated the Winter Olympics with their own winter sports experience in Lake Placid, N.Y. For the first time, the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) partnered with a university to host college students for this unique experience, in which participants took bobsled and luge rides on the famed Lake Placid course; climbed to the top of the Olympic ski jump run; visited the site of the Olympic downhill run; and toured the Winter Olympic Museum.

The visit was organized by SU's Department of Recreation Services as part of the University's Outdoor Education Program.
