On Dec. 15 at 6 p.m., Syracuse University's Community Design Center (CDC) in the School of Architecture will host the last of three neighborhood presentations and discussions on housing issues in the Danforth area of Syracuse's South Side. Students will present "Buildings, Blocks & Streets"-housing and neighborhood design proposals and research for discussion and consideration.
The presentation will be held at the Dunbar Center, 1453 South State St., and is free and open to the public. Community members are invited to participate. Refreshments will be served. The workshop is sponsored in part by Syracuse Common Councilor Van Robinson.
CDC students held community workshops in October and November to discuss housing issues with local residents. They have researched issues in the Danforth neighborhood this semester and created design proposals based on those issues. To best serve the community, the CDC is seeking resident input on these proposals.
