Linda Littlejohn of Syracuse, N.Y., has been named associate vice president of Chancellor's Initiatives at Syracuse University. Her primary responsibility will be to support the continued development and implementation of Chancellor Nancy Cantor's Syracuse South Side Initiative. Littlejohn most recently served as assistant dean of enrollment management at SU's College of Human Services and Health Professions.
Littlejohn has spent 23 years in higher education and human services administration, focusing her career on strategic planning and program development. Her research interests include the politics of poverty and multicultural education in America. Littlejohn received bachelor's and master's degrees from SU's School of Social Work and a master's degree from SU's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
The Office of Principal Gifts and Chancellor's Initiatives focuses on a core group of donors and potential donors, as well as coordinating the Chancellor's special projects, including current community engagement initiatives. It also focuses on expanding the University's presence in Los Angeles, in addition to current Washington, D.C., and New York City locations.
