SU's Brass Ensemble to perform Dec. 4

Syracuse University's Brass Ensemble will perform with the Mohawk Valley Choral Society, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to benefit a Syracuse Habitat for Humanity project on Kellogg Street.

The concert will feature "The Corsair" by Berlioz, "American Landscapes" by Copland, "Amen" from Handel's Messiah, "The Typewriter" by Leroy Anderson, "Breezin' Down Broadway" by John Williams' score for the movie "Home Alone" and "The Twelve Days of Christmas" by Bulla.

The Ensemble will appear under the direction of James Spencer, a professor of chemistry at SU. The Ensemble is composed of more than 30 brass and percussion musicians.
