Denis Johnson will read from his works of fiction at 5:45 p.m. March 7 in Gifford Auditorium in Huntington Beard Crouse Hall. The presentation, part of the Raymond Carver Reading Series, is free and open to the public.
Johnson is author of several works of fiction, including "The Name of the World," (Harper Collins, 2000), "Already Dead" (Harper Collins, 1998), "Jesus' Son" (Harper Trade, 1993) and "Angels" (Alfred Knopf, 1983). His poetry collections include "The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations Millenium General Assembly" (Harper Collins, 1995), "The Veil" (Knopf Alfred, 1987) and "The Incognito Lounge" (Carnegie-Mellon University Press, 1997).
He is recipient of a Lannan Fellowship and Whiting Writers Award, among other honors. He lives in northern Idaho.
