Robert Dacey, associate professor and program coordinator of illustration in the School of Art and Design in SU's College of Visual and Performing Arts, has recently co-illustrated a book for the Smithsonian Oceanic Collection. Titled "Pelican's Catch," Dacey's co-illustrator is his wife, Debra Bendelin.

The book as well as original illustrations will be on display at the Society of Illustrators in New York City from Oct. 27-Nov. 24. "Pelican's Catch" was authored by Janet Halfmann and was published by Sound Prints.
Dacey is a previous gold medal recipient from the Society of Illustrators. His work has shown in national and international museums and galleries including: The Tokyo Invitational Show, Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Indianapolis Museum of Modern Art, Greenwich Workshop Galleries, Second Street Gallery, the New Britain Museum, The International Museum of Comic Art and the Norman Rockwell Museum.
The book is forthcoming and will be available in Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com and Borders, among other bookstores.
