Syracuse Stage will feature the production of the highly acclaimed play "Constant Star," written and directed by Tazewell Thompson, former artistic director of Syracuse Stage. The play will run Oct. 22-Nov. 15.
Ida B. Wells was a fearless civil rights activist and journalist who organized the first anti-lynching campaign in the United States. She was one of only two black women to help form the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. In "Star," Thompson weaves 20 classic spirituals sung a cappella in five-part harmony into the stirring story of Wells' extraordinary and brave life.
