Margaret S. Thompson, associate professor of history and political science in Syracuse University's College of Arts and Sciences and Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, will speak on "Sister-List: Catholicism and Feminism Online" on Oct. 15 at 4 p.m. in the Kilian Room, Room 500 of the Hall of Languages. The lecture is part of Virtual Religion, the Department of Religion's Fall 2003 Religion and Society Speaker Series, and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. Visitor parking is available on a paid, space-available basis in the Irving and University Avenue garages.
Thompson has authored numerous articles on women and religious history. Her current research interests include the Americanization of Catholic women's religious life and the impact of religion upon American politics and governance.
