Nancy Martin, manager of technical development for the GE Global Research Center, will visit the Syracuse University campus Oct. 5. Martin will speak on "GE-Leading Innovation" at 6 p.m. in the College of Law's Grant Auditorium. The presentation is open to all SU students, with a focus on students with science or engineering majors.

Martin will discuss the future technologies-such as hydrogen energy, nanotechnology and photonics and molecular imaging-that will have significant impacts in the world. She will also discuss how technology drives GE's growth and offer her advice to students seeking careers in the field.

"This is a great opportunity to hear about the diverse range of activities at GE, and to network with Ms. Martin and other recruiters about employment and internship opportunities at GE," says Can Isik, senior associate dean for academic and student affairs in the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science.

A reception will be held from 8-9 p.m. in the lobby outside Grant Auditorium, and will feature additional recruiting representatives from GE.
