A University-Community Partnership forum will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at Erwin First United Methodist Church, 920 Euclid Ave.

The evening's agenda includes an overview of University-Community Partnership initiatives; updates on safety, code enforcement and student outreach activities; and a question-and-answer session.

The Partnership-established in 1999 by Syracuse University Chancellor Kenneth A. Shaw and then-Syracuse Mayor Roy A. Bernardi-is a multifaceted approach to managing quality-of-life issues in the neighborhood immediately east of SU's North Campus. An implementation team meets quarterly to address and resolve issues of concern for year-round and student residents.

Partnership members are SU, the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Le Moyne College, Onondaga Community College, the City of Syracuse and several neighborhood associations.

The University-Community Partnership replaces the semi-annual community forums sponsored previously by SU's Office of Government & Community Relations.
