Craig Konyk, principal of Konyk New York and adjunct professor of architecture at Columbia University, will lecture at Syracuse University's School of Architecture, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. in 108 Slocum Hall. The lecture, titled "Instant Architecture," is free and open to the public.
Konyk, an award-winning architect, is currently leading various national architecture projects, including UP!house, a prefabricated home design at the invitation of dwell magazine; Tuttle Street ONE Miami, a new showroom building for the Design District in Miami; a design for a residential tower called "GLAD," in Manhattan; and the design of a private residence in Rhinebeck, N.Y.
He serves on the boards of Artists Space and the Architectural League of New York and is currently serving on the Architecture and Planning Review Panel for the New York State Council on the Arts. A first monograph of his work "kOnyk05" is forthcoming from the United Art and Design Cooperative in Beijing.
