The Learning Resource Center (LRC), a program within the Division of Student Support and Retention, has earned Level Three certification of its tutor training program, the highest level possible, from the International Tutor Certification Program of the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). This certification is recognized by national organizations representing learning center administration and developmental education.
"I don't recall ever receiving a packet that had so much effective pedagogy," says George Dennis, reviewer and developmental education professor at Lower Columbia College. Jane Neuburger, LRC director, has been asked by the CRLA Certification Project to serve as a resource for other directors seeking to certify their programs.
