Singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata will perform in the Schine Underground in Syracuse University's Hildegarde and J. Myer Schine Student Center, Saturday, April 30 at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7:15 p.m.
There are 350 tickets on sale at the Schine Student Center Box Office. Admission is $5 for SU and SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry students with valid I.D. and $10 for the public. The Schine Box Office can be reached at (315) 443-4517.
All proceeds will benefit the Franklin Magnet School for the Arts in North Syracuse and VH1's Save the Music Foundation.
A Chicago native, Yamagata has been named "Artist to Watch" by Billboard and has had positive reviews from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Blender and Entertainment Weekly. She will sing songs from her debut album, "Happenstance," along with new material that is yet to be recorded.
The show is sponsored by University Union Concert Board, Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and the SU Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association.
