The Syracuse University Wind Ensemble will present its final Spring 2003 concert on April 29 at 8 p.m. in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium in the University's Crouse College. The concert, presented by the Setnor Tuesday Concert Series, is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of John Laverty, the Wind Ensemble will perform works by Strauss, Archer, Leemans, Ticheli and Holst. Guest conductor for the event is Steve Peterson, conductor of the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble.

The Wind Ensemble is SU's premier concert band and is open to student musicians campus wide. The ensemble performs literature ranging from large symphonic works that require all of its performers to "one-on-a-part" chamber works that require eight to 24 performers. Two concerts are presented each semester on campus, with guest soloists and conductors adding to the varied musical experiences.
