SU Concert Band to perform May 1

The Syracuse University Concert Band, conducted by Peter A. Acosta, will perform in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium, located in Crouse College, May 1 at 2 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public. Parking is available in Irving Garage.

The program will include "Prairie Dances" by David R. Holsinger, "Sea Songs" by Ralph Vaughn Williams, "Waltz No. 2 from 'Jazz Suite No. 2'" by Dmitri Shostakovich, "Scenes from 'The Louvre'" by Norman Dello Joio, "Cajun Folk Songs" by Frank Ticheli and "Galop bajaderek" by Bedrich Smetana. Hope Bagley and Brian T. Carnes, graduate students majoring in conducting, will be guest conductors.
