The 2002-03 Concerto and Aria winners, soprano Jennifer Nadig and clarinetist Jessica Crawford, will be the featured soloists in the Syracuse University Symphony Orchestra's spring concert, which will be held on April 15 at 8 p.m. in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium in the University's Crouse College. The concert, presented by the Setnor Tuesday Concert Series, is free and open to the public.
Nadig and Crawford are both seniors in the Setnor School of Music, College of Visual and Performing Arts. Nadig will perform "Faites lui mes aveu" (Flower Song from Faust), arr. by Charles Gounod, and Crawford will perform "Premiere Rhapsody for Clarinet and Orchestra" by Claude Debussy. Conducted by James R. Tapia, the Symphony Orchestra will also perform Beethoven's "Prometheus Overture" and Tschaikowsky's "Symphony No. 5 in E minor" Op. 64.
