The Syracuse University Jazz ensemble will present a concert at 8 p.m. April 16 in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium in Crouse College. The concert, part of the Setnor Tuesday Night Concert Series, is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Joe Riposo and John Coggiola, the ensemble will perform "Blue Ankles" to highlight the improvisational skills of the group's student soloists; "When Sunny Gets Blue," arranged by Riposo and featuring vocalist Jody Gandino; "Take the 'A' Train;" "Nikki," which will feature trombonist Justin Clark; "Bag's Groove" and "Things Ain't What They Used to Be."
The concert will also feature guest pianist Anna Yevseyeva, a student in Solvay High School.
