This year, the Maxwell School's Program on the Analysis and Resolution of Conflicts (PARC) celebrates its 20th anniversary. To mark this milestone, from Sept. 27-28, PARC is hosting a conference on "Cutting Edge Theories and Recent Developments in Conflict Resolution." During the event, more than a dozen PARC alumni will share their current practice and scholarship on a range of domestic and international conflict issues. John Paul Lederach, a leading scholar on conflict resolution and mediation, will present the keynote address during a dinner reception on Thursday, Sept. 27.
The conference includes four sessions: "Peace Building and Social Justice"; "Re-Imaging Constructive Conflict Management Processes"; "Organization Conflict & Collaboration"; and "Education and Practice." Following the formal research presentations on Friday, PARC alumni will host a session for current students to discuss careers in the field.
PARC invites the public to attend the conference, which runs from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. both days in the Maxwell School's Public Events Room, Room 220 of Eggers Hall. Additional details, including a complete agenda,
