On March 30, Horace Campbell, professor of African American studies and political science at Syracuse University, will discuss the politics of Zimbabwe and sub-Saharan Africa from 4-6 p.m. in the Kilian Room, 500 Hall of Languages. The event is free and open to the public.

Campbell's talk will provide context for the publication of his new book, "Reclaiming Zimbabwe: The Exhaustion of the Patriarchal Model of Liberation" (Africa World Press). A brief video presentation on Zimbabwe, as well as poetry and dance, will also be part of the event. The event is sponsored by the African Students Union and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), with financial support from The College of Arts and Sciences and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
