On April 2, the Syracuse University Women's Choir will perform with the NYU University Singers in New York City. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at St. Monica's Church, 413 East 79th St. and First Ave. A $5 donation is suggested for admission.

SU's all-female choir will appear under the direction of Barbara Tagg, affiliate artist in music in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. The program will include Pavel Chesnokov, Gregg Smith, Robert Harris, Eleanor Daley, Francisco Nunez and SU composer Sally Lamb.

Last year, the SU Women's Choir, with the Syracuse Children's Chorus, hosted the NYU University Singers for a joint concert in Crouse College's Setnor Auditorium. The visit to SU was the first tour for an NYU chorus in many years.

The invitation for the SU Women's Choir to perform with the NYU University Singers is the first event of its kind hosted by NYU and comes at the invitation of NYU University Singers director Francisco Nunez.
