Student's compositions to be performed at April 2 recital

Nikolas Allen, a senior composition major in Syracuse University's Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music, will have a selection of his works performed in a recital April 2 at 8 p.m. Allen also goes by a composer alias, Nikolas Jelenaiuskas.

His works to be performed include "Hommage a Sirtnat" for piano; "Fuga" for clarinet, viola and bassoon; "Middling Rorschach" for trombone and piano; "Piano Quintet" for piano, violin, viola and violoncello; "Three Inventions" for piano; "Six Maux" for violoncello and piano; "Phaser" a piano duet; and "Angels' Wings" for a small ensemble that Allen will conduct.

The concert will take place in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium, located in Crouse College. It is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Irving and University Avenue garages.
