As fans of Syracuse University men's basketball head to New York City to cheer on the defending NCAA Champions during the Big East Tournament, SU's Office of Alumni Relations has arranged a special opportunity to show support for the team: CBS has invited SU alumni, fans and friends to participate in two outdoor segments of "The Early Show," March 12 at 8 and 8:30 a.m. The segments will be broadcast live during the show.
SU fans interested in cheering for their team on national television are asked to don their brightest orange garb and meet at the corner of 59th Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan at 7:45 a.m. Representatives of the Office of Alumni Relations will be on hand to supply pom-poms and banners, and Andrea Marshall-Money '87, member of SU's New York City Regional Club Council, will serve as spokesperson for the fans and answer questions during the broadcast. Free coffee and doughnuts will be provided by Dunkin' Donuts.
