Sara Villagio, a senior in Syracuse University's Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music, will give a flute recital, March 5 at 2 p.m. Pianist Sar-Shalom Strong, a faculty member at Hamilton College, will accompany her.

Villagio will perform selections from Bach, Schocker, Saint-Saens, Faure and Martinu. She will also perform "Soliloquy," a piece composed by former SU professor Liu Zhuang, and collaborate with SU graduate student Jessica Crawford on a clarinet-flute composition.

A member of the SU Symphony Orchestra, Villagio currently studies with Deborah Coble of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. She hopes to pursue a career in the music industry after she graduates from SU in May.

The concert will take place in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium, located in Crouse College. It is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Irving and University Avenue garages.
