Syracuse University's "Year of the Song" festival will continue on Feb. 24 with performances by faculty members and students from SU's Rose, Jules R., and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music. The concert is part of the Setnor Tuesday Night Concert Series and will begin at 8 p.m. in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium, located in Crouse College.
The SU Singers, under the direction of G. Burton Harbison, will perform works by Britten and Mendelssohn; the Syracuse Vocal Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Tricia Oney, will perform selections from Duke Ellington; and the SU Brazilian Music Ensemble, under the direction of Elisa Dekaney, will perform traditional Brazilian folk songs as well as contemporary bossa nova songs.
All Setnor Tuesday Concerts are free and open to the public. Parking is available at Irving Garage.
